With that in mind, you're now viewing the Overview section of what is indisputably going to be the largest, most detailed section of the entire website: the World of Sonic. When this website was being built by Nuclear Envoy, many wondered just what this mysterious section was about; why it sat there so long without any updates, shrouded in mystery as to what its purpose was...and why it's still sitting here.

Well, guess what? I, Ryan the Game Master am here to show you exactly what we have in mind for this thing. The Overview is here to tell you just what this section will have to offer and the reason for its existence. Let's investigate!

WORLD OF SONIC SECTION

           This section is suffering such a long, drawn out period of time collecting dust upon the home page of the site, starting when Concept: "Mobius'" was first made. Many, I'm sure are wondering just what is the World of Sonic section? With such an ambiguous dubbing as World of Sonic, this particular section could be one of many things. But it would surprise you to know that it focuses on but one simple, universal concept. Yes, a concept. A vision. A collaborated, consolidated, and explicitly cultivated fabrication of the masterminds behind this website. Although, most of it has been created by myself (Nuclear Envoy).

           I've been a Sonic fan since the little guy was introduced to the world, albeit, I didn't become a major fan of it until Sonic Adventure 2. Since 2001, my interest in the story of Sonic the Hedgehog grew and grew to the immense proportions it now boasts. I've always been unusually interested in the continuities of the Sonic franchise and their dramatic differences: where one takes place and another doesn't, which characters go to which continuity and their portrayal differences. But in the long run, the one I am interested in the most is, oddly enough, the one which seems the most deficient: the video game continuity. I have seen much potential in it, and for a long time now, I have made a strenuous attempt to fix it not only to benefit the fans, but to benefit myself and my close friends. Over the years, we have imaged the Sonic Team Sonic universe in our minds filled with detail and have even devised our own additions to the world of Sonic. This section? The fruits of our labor.

           The World of Sonic section, to explain it as simply as I can, is to be a vast, detailed and in depth encyclopedia of Concept: "Mobius'" vision of the Sonic Universe. Although we will cautiously maintain and integrate the original bearings of the videogame continuity, we will add depth that hasn't already been added and we will add a lot of it while remaining devoted conservatively to canon assets. You will have a chance to see our own detailed map of Sonic's world and a chance to learn about some concepts we have created ourselves for the Sonic universe such as our original territories for Sonic's world, cities, races, civilizations, historical aspects, important figures, mythology, and science.

           This section of the site is recommended solely for those who base their creations, whether in the form of fanfiction, fancomics, fangames, or things of the like, off of the video game continuity? but are in dire need of an indepth environment from which to base them. We would like to give our unified vision of the Sonic universe to you through this section: an in depth, detailed, realistic, practical, scientifically-plausible, fully functional version of the game continuity, modified in ways that could only make it better. The plotholes will be gone, the history will be revealed, and the detail will be high. Would you be interested? That is for you to decide. Read onward to learn about what each sub-section will to offer.


World of Sonic ?
         
           The World of Sonic sub-section will be undoubtedly the largest sub-section on the entire site. It'll be pretty much what makes this section of the site so big since it is to be a virtual encyclopedia regarding our unified vision of Sonic's world. In this sub-section, you will learn about Sonic's world in a detailed manner comparable to that of learning about Tolkien's Middle-Earth or Lucas' Star Wars universe. However, you will learn it through our eyes. We will add depth to what is already provided in the game continuity and also add our own creations for your very disposal to use in your own fanmade creation. It's not just our world, it's everybody's.

            The World of Sonic sub-section will give statistics, raw data, and fill in every single detail about the geography of Sonic's world, the races, the timeline, and even brief historical essays (since it will mostly be a very contemporarily-based encyclopedia). It will also be filled to the brim with high quality graphics and art to illustrate and visually express our concepts including landscapes, cityscapes, blueprints, concept sketches, famous figures, and data-oriented.


Other Worlds ?

           The World of Sonic sub-section will focus solely on the world Sonic & co. adventure on in the video game continuity, and it does not account for other worlds in the Sonic Universe, which throughout the series have been evident. This sub-section of the site will focus on the other worlds in our vision of the Sonic Universe in the same detailed manner as seen in the World of Sonic sub-section.


Inspirations ?

           The two first sub-sections of the World of Sonic section are going to be so big and detailed that they obviously have some inspirations. This sub-section will highlight some of the more substantial things that inspired some of the creations in the World of Sonic and Other Worlds sub-section, particularly what inspired many of our original additions to the Sonic Universe.


Usage Application ?

           Usage Application? That makes no sense, I'm sure you're thinking. This sub-section will basically be a single-page CSS-generated application template for those who are interested enough in our adaptation of Sonic's world to use it in their creations ranging from fanfiction to fangames. Whatever you're making, we'd love for you to use our adaptation to Sonic's world! Don't worry about canon issues, either! As mentioned, we're staying as canon as we can with our adaptation, but we're adding in the best ways we can to make it all come together in the best way possible. If you're interested in our vision, simply fill out the application and send it to us. There are no limits to what it can be used for, we just want to know we've got admirers.


Current Users ?

           Corresponding to the Usage Application sub-section, this sub-section will list every single, solitary individual(s) that use our adaptation of Sonic's world as the environment in their fanfic/comic/game, etc., etc including their name (if offered), the reason they're using it, and what attracted them to our vision. We are simply proud that our adaptation we work so hard on is admired by the likes of the visionaries in the Sonic fanbase, so we'd like to show each and every one of them here and offer them a piece of immortality to be displayed on this site forever.

There you have it, folks. THAT is what we have planned for World of Sonic. A doozy, as you can see, which is why it's taking so damn long to complete. At least you guys have something to look forward to while we work our butts off to get this done. Please bear with us...
